The H funeral of Mrs. Elizabeth Klrby, who M died Thursday, the 10th, was held In H the meeting house Saturday last. A H, tJarge number of friends and relatives H were present to pay a tribute of re- H spect to Mrs. ICIrby, who was a good H woman and one who was ever trying H .to do her duty co God and to hor fol- H lowman. The speakers were U. 0. H ( Johnson, James ilurren, Jos. Walte, H J. W. D. Ilurren and Bishop Charles H G. Ityde. It Is jut a few months H I' since Thomas V. ICIrby, her husband, H, pissed away. H ' Mrs. ICIrby was the mother of jclRht H ' children, four sons and four dauffht- j ers. Those left behind are honorable, H'l upright citizens and an honor to their H I parents. Hh?I Hjl Many friends were pained to learn H ( last week that through bodily and B J .mental suffering Samuel Klwood had H'jj lost his reason. For several days he H -was quite violent, attacking in a fierco 1 manner all who came near him. Ho H seesaod to have the strength of a m giant. It would sometimes require M three and four men to subdue him. H He has not taken any nourishment to HV speak of for several days and it Is M I feared that he cannot last many days ij more.
