Show Excursion to the A. C. j A farmer's excursion to the ! Agricultural college will tf ke place next Saturday, Feb. 21, 1903. The new barns and the recently purchased pure bred live-stock will be inspected a,nd the experiments in progress with sheep, steers, dairy cows ands poultry will be explained. The dairy, greenhouse, shops, laboratories, labora-tories, museums and other practical prac-tical departments of the college j will be visited. ! The visitors will assemble i& the small chapel of the college ;at 11 o'clock a.m., where the following fol-lowing addresses will be made: I Address of welcome President Presi-dent W. J. Ke. r. Feeding value of sugar beets, sugar beet pulp and molasses-Director molasses-Director J. A; Widtsoe. Horse feeding Prof. L. A. Merrill. j Profitable poultry keeping Prof. James Dryden. Judging a dairy cow Prof. TL W. Clark. I These addresses will occupj jlwo hours, but since the exercises exer-cises wiil continue throughout the day. it is suggested that visitors bring their lunches and a comfortable, lunch room will be provided. : - During the afternoon a practical prac-tical lesson in stock-judging will be given. All persons interested in Agriculture, especially those engaged in stock raising, are-urged are-urged to be present. |
