Show PERSONAL.

Mr. Glen Studebaker President of the mammoth carriage and wagon works of South Bend, Ind. [Indiana], also president of the South Bend & Southern R.R., in company with Mr. L.B. Glass, manager of his Central Branch House of Salt Lake City, paid Logan City a visit a few days since. Mr. Studebaker also had with him his master mechanic of the wagon department of his works. Their visit was very thorough in its details, their object being to examine the county, the wagons and carriages, and get the ideas of freighters and teamsters as to what considered a perfect wagon for Utah. And from the copious notes taken by Mr. S. we (we) feel safe in saying that these gentle man meant business, and when they get their many improvements in to practice the Studebaker will be as near a perfect wagon as is practicable. From the deep interest taken by this firm to build a suitable wagon for Utah. We bespeak for the Studebaker its shape of the patronage of the people. While Messrs. Studebaker and Glass were in Logan they closed a contract with their agents, Zion's Board of Trade for next year's supplies. The Board will carry a large and assorted stock of farm wagons and spring work. |
