Show THEATRE. The "Golden Farmer" was capitally played last Saturday night, and all who took part deserve praise. "Harold Hawk" is a melo-drama of the ultra sensational class, and does not create pleasant feelings or emotions in an audience. It was finely played throughout, though and its powerful scenes were well worked up. Mr. G. J. Bywater in the title role, a ferocious abandoned wretch, played with great power. Miss Haws played even better than usual, while Mr. D. Lewis was in his specialty. Miss McKnight, a recent addition to the Club, proved herself a capital soubrette, and a valuable acquisition to the company. |
