Show We have received the prospectus for Vol.III for the Contributor, which vol will commence with the October, 1881, number. It embodies some of the leading features that will characterize that volume, in addition to the already interesting matter that has filled its previous numbers Among the former are promised sermons and writings of the prophet Joseph Smith, that were delivered during the last four years of his life. The is one of the best features that could adorn the pages of the Contributor, for they are full of doctrinal subjects, with which everyone ought to be acquainted. In connection with the sermons will be published short biographical sketches of Joseph and Hyrum Smith. These sketches will be embellished with two?? Magnificent steel plate engravings of the Prophet and Patriarch, which are pronounced, by those who were intimately acquainted with them, as the most accurate portraits that have ever been published. The volume will also contain an historical account of the Buchanan campaign of 1877, which will include the thrilling incidents of that war, taken from reliable documents. No event, in the history of this territory, could be more indenting than this will be. It is a theme that will ever be remembered in that remembered by those worthy sires who took part in it hence the position the Contributor takes in publishing every it em associated with this important event, is highly commendable, for by this means the youth of Zion, in whose interests this paper is published, will become acquainted with the campaign thought which their aged fathers had to pass, besides informing themselves upon the history of the people of Utah.
