Relatives 8nd friends, fully equal in numbers to the choir itself, were at the Ogden passenger terminal at 4:40 oclock this afternoon to witness the departure of . the Ogden tabernacle choir on its tour of the Pacific coast, cities. There were 230 persons on board the special train and with the exception of about twenty, all of these are members of the choir organization. Leon Hoffmeister, . the New York baritone, and W. R. Worley, the Logan tenor, two of the soloists who will accompany the choir on the entire trip, boarded the special train. in this city. Miss Emma Lucy Gates, soprano, and Professor John J. McClellan, organist, were to board the train, at -- Salt Lake City. The personnel of the special will not be complete Until it reaches Modena, Utah, tonight where Willard Scowcroft, president of the choir, will board the train. Through the efforts of Paul M. Beemer, city ticket agent, and other officials of the Union Pacific system, the choir was furnished one of the finest special trains ever routed out of this city.
