The little church annex, built for a gymnasium, was crowded virtually to capacity by spectators who had widely discussed the circumstances surrounding the case. The charred body of Mrs. McClurg was found In the smoldering ruins of their car at the foot of a hill near here on Dec, McClurg claimed it was an accident following upon his attempt to learn the source of smoke emanating from the car after it climbed the hill. Blinded by smoke he said he was unable to prevent the car rollirig over the hill and leaped to safety only in time to save his own life. The state claims to have evidence to indicate the girl had been killed prior to the burning. McClurg, a slender man, appeared in the court dressed in a new gray suit and continued the same unflurried attitude that characterized his appearance at preliminary hearing in the tiny little lodge room last C miber. New counsel, D. W. Zent of Yanlma, sought to have the court return to this court room from 9- Also HOT AND HOW News and Talking r Painting, hangingPhone 1136-- J. Paper Decorating, Mathews.
