A Fine Reception, w The Scandinavians of Logan tendered Prest. C. D, Fjeldsted -- and Bishop A. L. Skanehy a splendid reception on Friday evening. About three hundred people assembled in the east basement of the tabernacle, and all enjoyed themselves very much in the festivities that followed. A programme of exercises was rendered which embraced several selections by the Scandinavian choir, under the direction of Prof. Otte, and many otlier musical selections. II. J. Christiansen delivered an address of welcome, T. A. Thore-so- n read an original poem, Mrs. J. A. Widtsoc recited, the Misses Jacobsen performed on the guitar and mandolin, and there were addresses by Prest.Fjeldsted, Bishops Skanehy of Logan and Rasmussen of Mink Creek, and others. At the conclusion of the programme, the guests were treated to a fine supper which was served in the northwest room of the basement, and then social conversation and congratulations were enjoyed until the time to part came. Throughout, the affair was very well conducted and fittingly expressed, the affection the Scandinavians of Logan feel for the guests of honor. About $G0 was subscribed by those present and was afterwards presented to Messrs v Fjeldsted and Skanehy. s. i j i 3 M i 3 ! Brushes- - i 20g Ki 5.C0 X That tells the story in a nutshell.
