The resolution was to the effect that the Legislature brands as absolute falsehoods each charge that Roberts was elected of in order that the people Utah could resume the prac tice of polygamy, and that a majority of the people of Utah are covenant breakers; that they en- dorse Also that the Mormon church dominates political affairs in Utah. The resolutions further state that no charges have been preferred against Roberts since his electionthat were not made by his political opponents prior to his election and well known to the people when they elected him to congress.
