Sec. 2 Application for such license shall be made by petition to the City Council, signed by the applicant and tiled with the City Recorder; 'said petition must state definitely the particular place at which the business is to be carried on and the kinds, of liquor to be manufactured, sold, bartered, dealt out or otherwise disposed, of and whether at. wholesale or at retail. The Mayor, whenever in his judgment the peace, good order and safety of the City ana its inhabitants require it, and on municipal And State election days shall, and on all legal holidays, by proclamation, may forbid the sale, barter, dealing out or. otherwise disposing of spirituous, vinous, malt or other intoxicating liquors. for any given period, not to exceed twenty-fou- r hours at any one time and any person who shall sell, barter, or give away . any such liquors in contravention of such proclamation shall be deemed guilty of a violation of this ordinance and punishable as herein after mentioned. Sec. 11. The front wall or par s tition of all or other places where liquors are. sold at retail shall be constructed in part Wl sell, barter, deal out or otherwise dispose of any liquors in this ordinance .mentioned - at anyplace within two hundred feet of an established and licensed billiard and ' pool hall or pin alley. Sec. 15. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall upon conviction thereof be punishable by a fine net to exceed $10000 or by imprisonment in the city jail notto exceed thirty fine and imprisondays or by both ' ment. Sec. 16. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
