irYV" - rim i-- I would like to share a special piece of good news in our community EF Educational Foundation for Foreign Study (EF Foundation) is a nonprofit high school exchange organization which sponsors students from many countries to live in the US for a year with a host family and attend a local high school This year EF Foundation has asked its nationwide network of l(X)0 volunteers to nominate the best schools in the area to receive a special award Of nearly 2000 participating high schools in the country 100 were chosen to receive the 1995 School of the Year award Our very ow n High School was chosen as one of those outstanding schools As the local International Exchange Coordinator I have been extremely impressed with the dedication of the faculty and staff of the high school to foreign exchange students as well as to our own students By involving exchange students in the life of the school guiding them during this challenging year and supporting their host families the staff of this school has made our students' experiences truly extraordinary I would like to offer an extra thank you to Don Eardlcy counselor who has shown our students how much Amcrcan educators really do care about each and every child Sky View High School has done an excellent job in promoting the global classroom Providing these experiences to our students will have a tremendous impact in promoting peace and understanding worldwide To all of you who have shared yourselves with an exchange student thank you -
