A White, local agent for the Railway Express Agency. Mr. White was a World War veteran, and died trom service connected disabilities in the Veteran's hospital at Sawtelle, California, the morning of April nth. He was born in Kansas on April 17th, 1892, a son of B. D. and Margaret White, who died when Verne was only two years of age. He is survived bv his widow, Ruth, and one daughter, June, now married to Clarence Crooks, of Burst ow. Also the following brothers, S. B White, of Townsend, Montana, M. E. White, of Pocatello, Idaho, and R. A. White of Logan. Also a sister, Mrs. R. E. Smith of Ran Diego, California, and his father. B. D. White, of Pomona, California. Mr. and Mrs. R. A. White left Saturday evening for Sawtelle, where funeral services will be conducted Monday, under the auspices of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Verne was well known in Cache and in Bear Lake Valleys. He resided at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Pope at Garden City, from 1897 until 1911. He died Sunday at his home in Avon from ailments incident to age. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p. m. in the Avon ward chapel, with burial in the community cemetery, under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home.
