Dizzy is already in the Cards camp at Bradenton, Fla., and is only talking for publication. Not Worrying The Cardinals aren't worrying about Dean. They are letting him wear himself out with threats, challenges and boasts. When hes through Branch Rickey will sign him. The Tigers are worrying plenty about Greenberg. Their latest move designed to smoke out Greenberg is promise of a bonus to each player now signed if they win the pennant again. Only players now in camp will cut in on thi3 $50,000 melon planned by Waiter O. Briggs, new club owner. Greenberg can share in this bonus only by special dispensation of Briggs. A few days ago the Tigers sent Greenberg a contract calling for the original figure, offered him. The lanky bronx boy charges that the club made this move in an effort to make him appear unreasonable to the fans. Not Too Large With Lou Gehrig of tne Yankees drawing $23,000 and Jimmy Foxx of the Red Sox drawing, approximately the same figure, Greenberg's demands for a salary of about $20,000 do not seem exorbitant. Last year he is believed to have drawn less than $10,000, probably as low as $8,000. Greenberg drove in 170 runs, tied Jimmy Foxx for the home run championship at 36, and batted .328 this record, combined with his selection as the leagues most valuable player, gives Greenfor berg plenty of argument assuming his present stand. He is an indispensable cog in the Tiger machine. Manager Mickey Cochrane is the Tigers highest paid man, drawing $30,000. Charlie Gehringer, second baseman, comes next at about $18,000, and A1 Simmons, bought from the White Sox for $75,000, is right up with the leaders despite his poor season last year. out-talke- d, .
