Epsilons Each team won one division of the tournament and the championship game drewr a record crowd for such an event at the gymnasium. The game was hotly contested throughout, the score standat the end of the first ing quarter. The Ricks forwards, Watts and Blackburn, more than made up by superior speed for their lack of stature to be the outstanding duo on the floor while Pugh at center for the Epsilons led his mates in good style. Pugh was high point man of the game with 11 counters. Watts although he went out before the game was over with a sprained ankle, was next in line with 10 points. The injury may prove costlv to the Aggie varsity squad as Watts will likely bo out of competition for at least a week or two. The tournament was conducted under the direction of Joseph U. Jenson who is in charge of the intramural sports program at the college this year. 26-2- LOS ASGEUS One way Bargain Fare Daily. chair car and Comfortable with coach ' accommodations, dining car or convenient station cafe meal service en route. 4- -4 From Ctah points on the Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad to Los Angeles and other California southern points. to low fares Correspondingly other parts of California. A glance at the Grizzly prospects lor 1833 would teffd to indicate that the locals are in for a disastrous season. However, a year ago, when the Logar.ilcs lost six regular players from 1931 line and tiioir Captain and all state quarterback Keith Worley, sport followers had them doped lor second or third place in Region One. But did they surprise? Crookston turned out a better team than his "31" edition. To start witn Dean Lewis, Boyd Hall, Cleve Dibble, Clarence Farey, Max Humphreys and Cecil Bradbury would look good in the "33" backfield. And as a nucleus on the line Crookston has Frank Wahlcn, end and Deimaine Hodges, with the possibility that tackle, Humphreys may be used at end. One of the biggest problems in connection with football at the local school is that Crookston is forced to handle the entire Grizzly squad of some 75 players practically alone. During the past season, Max Merkley, a member of the 1939 team, has helped with the sophomore team but teaching fundamentals of football to 75 candidates is too much for any coach. Crookston coached teams, however, have r. habit of developing rapidly and the Grizzly mentor may be relifd upon to put as good a team on the field as his material will permit.
