In consulting authority on this question 1 am imormed that it will cost about $100,000 00 to put a good water system into our city. Can the city be bonded for this amount? Some a yes, others say no. If we eannot raise the amount needed, could a pi iv ate cotporation be organized for the purpose, the rily reserving the right to buy the works within a period stated? There is no question but what the enterprise will pay both parties the company that puts in the syRtem and those who recede the benefits of it. We are a growing city; population is increasing and wealth a pu e wi-l- accumulating. Our enterprising citizens are being rewarded for their efforts, and the future is full of promise. I think the health of our people will compare favorably with any other city of the same size In Utah. Logan is situ;.ed near the center of one of the most beautiful and best watered valleys in the west. Our rich soil and delightful climate, our natural facilities for manufacturing and our educational Institutions are attracting the attention of many of the surrounding states and territories. Many of the best families In Ogden and Salt Lake are tired, no doubt, of political rule and are looking towards Logan for a home. But give us a water system. None will then hesitate in making a home in our beautiful, peaceful city. Let the man who is able to throw light on this question give us his best thoughts on the subject. Let us have the best plan that can be devised and we will vote for lt. (Signed) Poly-sophic- al W. H, Apperley.
