Various details pertaining to the playing of thq first games this evening were discussed and everything Is In readiness for Cache Valley's newest basketball league to enjoy a big success. Ten teams comprising some of the best basketball talent in the valley arc included in the league. Wellsville and Providence were the only teams not having lypresentatives at the meeting. Those present Included Hyde Park, C. A. Hurren; Logan Teachers, Parley Kilburn, Newton, Carl Jorgenson; Lewiston, Merl Hyer; Piggly Wiggly, Noble Ncllsen; Clarkston, Dewey Griffin; Hyrum, Lonn Larsen; and Texaco, John Hull. The LOgan Cardinal team composed of fdrmer Logan high will school stars be known as the Texaco five. Fred Lundberg an ardent basketball follower and new local manager of the Texaco company is sponsoring the boys in the league. The Texaco team is considered by many as fine of the best teams m the league. Tonight marks the opening games of the season and th schedule Is as follows: Clarkston vs. Logan Teachers at Logan Junior high school gym 9 p. m ; Newton vs. Piggly Wiggly at Logan Senior high school at 9 m. and Providence vs. Lewiston at Senior high school at 8 p m.
