Born in Norra YVallingrod Denmark, on May 30, 1853, he came to Utah with his parents m July 1874. He had joined the Mormon church with them in April, 167. Married to Sophia Gregerson in the Salt Lake Endowment House on December 21, 1381, he established his first home in College Ward, where both of them became active in church and community affairs. They remained there until 1914 when they established their home in Hyrum where they have since then resided.
