The bottom of the spacious windows are trimmed in beautiful yellow and black tiler-th- e familiar J. Penney company store front. A dark, red sandstone pavement leads from the sidewalk into the store, entrance to which is gained througn a pair of large swinging doors, glass paneled almost the entire length. New wall cases have been erected all around the building. Atop each case are electric outlets for large fans to keep the store cool and comfortable during the hot weather months. Twenty-on- e large electric globes encased in huge white reflectors will flood the Store with artificial light that will challenge even the light of day. In the back of the store are ladies and gents restrooms, and immediately to the lett of the main entrance is a telephone booth. New counters divided into 14 sections are distributed around the various departments of the store as are also about 10 new tables to be used for display purposes. The dry goods department will occupy the north pat t of the store, where bolts of high quality cloth in all the colors of the rainbow will be displayed from new attractive shelves and wall ases. In the back of the store, the northwest section of the building, will be the ladies ready-to-wedepartment. Here are large built-i- n wall cases where the selective J. C. Penney company dresses, suits, coats and ensembles will be so displayed as to make for easy selection by the customer, lleie also will lie the commodious millinery department whole with one sweep the customer may survey the large array of the latest styles and fashions in headwear.
