Director sitting m audience spies a flaw. Immediately he reaches for the phone. He turns a crank which rings small bell on the other end. The stage manager answers his call, takes direction and proceeds to execute orders. The idea works fine, saves hundreds of steps, prevents confusion, uses less lung power and besides all this, the director can enjoy his own show. One of these little towns is called Amazon. The people have never seen snow on Christmas Eve. It is as hot as the fourth of July. They do not know what Christmas is. To them it is one of their week days. We will go on with our story. The people of Amazon do not eat the same things as we do. If one of the girls or boys were lost they would go to the bamboo tree and cut a limb off and make a fire, put the limb over the fire and roast it until it was brown. Then they can eat it. They think it is better than most any of their foods. They also eat bananas. They like bananas very much. too. Im going to tell you about their home. Their houses look something like a haystack. The roofs of the houses are thatched with palm leaves. The walls are only a few feet high and they slope down. The inside of the house is one large room and it is very dark because there are no windows in it. Dont you wish you could go there some day to see the people In far away Amazon on the continent of South America.
