Anyhow, the Professor was so enthused that he left immediately following the games for his annual conquest of Mt. Everest. Professor Whatasnozzle is the only man alive to have ever reached the top of that gigantic peak. he do it? Very simple. First he built an inverted trolley rail to the top, then attached his stratosphere balloon to the rail and zipped away, right up to the top. What's that Oswald? CERTIFIED By FRANK BAKER Telegram Sports Editor Don't Forget J;gie Fullback tn K. M. C. Selections It is early yet to pick an football team this season, but when the time does roll around to make those selections, be must serious consideration given Jay Tolman of the Utah Aggies. Tolman was as great a star as Saturday's game with the Aggies produced. He was as biiliiant in defeat as Captain Frank Christensen or any of the Redskins were in definitely stamping victory, himself as a candidate for the mythical Rocky Mountain eleven this year. Tolmans candidacy t rings up the question of what must be done about Captain Christensen of Utah. Surely no one can judge any player better than the Ute captain this year, To! mans brilliant play here last week notwithstanding. These two fine players, however, should not be cheated because they happen to work at similar posts. Since Christensen cavorted at a halfback post quite a bit last year, it seems quite sensible to name him as a halfback and consider Tolman for the fullback selection on the same team. Tolinan is not a triple-threman, such as Christensen for, while he plunges with equal prowess, he does not pass or punt like the L'te captain does. By reason of his greater versatility, Christensen is probably more valuable, but just the same Tolman with his hard driving plunges and his brilliant defense work is just as valuable to the Aggies as Chris is to the Vtes. at Other A11 Conference Prospects Shine There was some more prosmaterial out pective there on the gridiron Saturday, but several of these men were buried there in the middle of those two fighting lines and did not get the ' popular acclaim that some of the backs did. the Jack Johnson, Utah tackle, is one of them. As brilliant in his work of thwarting Aggie thrusts or mving into a tangled mass of players to help cleave a hoie for the Utah backs as any of the were in their efforts, Johnson definitely stamped himself as being of timber again. Good enough to be rated by some coast experts after the game as a great tackle as 'any to play in far western football this year, Jack seems as certain of a berth on the R. M. C. eleven as does Christensen. ball-carri- Utah-U.S.- same quality.. same size . . same shape . . now 5c straight . . 3 for 10c We are very happy to make this important announcement to the millions of smokers who want a fine, long-fille- r cigar of modest price. The spotlight has been focused on Vranes for two seasons now by critics who regarded him as good enough for the mythical eleven, but his play has been streaky enough to leave considerable controversy over the wisdom of his choice. He left no doubt about his ability Saturday. He played a fine game throughout.
