J RICHARD DENNING and rnteM IKUiil KAnonALl 3 Appropriation Act Not even the Sunday night tremors could Jar the appropriations appropria-tions bill from its "hiding" place in the House. It is expected to appear for final action on Thursday, Thurs-day, which is the last day of the current session, and a House-Senate House-Senate conference will send it to the governor for action. Rep. Ernest H. Dean, D. American Amer-ican Fork, succeeded in getting through an amendment to add $375,000 to the bill for hospital construction in the rural districts. dis-tricts. The money will be used for matching funds of federal and municipal or county agencies for hospital construction. Sifting Committee Representative Dean has been a member cf the House sifting committee and he states that he has had .requests to bring out about 20 times as many bills as his turns would allow. Not many bills are expected to be passed during the balance of the week, therefore most of them will die in the committee. Construction Board Passage seems certain for a proposal to set up a board to administer ad-minister the building bill by proposing pro-posing to the board of examiners a course of action. The proposed board will include: one member from the office of Superintendent Superinten-dent of Public Instructions; cne member representing the welfare agencies; one member from the Board of Regents, University of Utah and one member from the Board of Trustees, Utah State Agricultural College; one member mem-ber from the construction commission; com-mission; and one senator and one representative. Speaking of building Gover nor Lee lost the first round when the attorney general ruled against him for stopping con struction of the hospital on the University of Utah campus. A ruling from the Supreme Court is new being sought in order to clarify the legality of the chief executive's action. Meantime the contractor has ceased work on the project. For Crippled Children A special appropriation of $50,- 000 for aid to crippled children has been approved by the legisla ture and has been sent to the governor fcr signature. Accord ing to the visiting nurse, there are 60 children under the program pro-gram in northern Utah county. y Let'i imagine this gorgeoui Youngstown Kitchen ii youri I You'll nsd no garbage pail, for the 48" twin-bowl Kitchenaidcr cabinet sink thown is equipped with a Mullinaulet electric garbage disponer.
