Parker, who before her marriage .July 8, in the Manti temple, was Miss Donna Green, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie W. Green. Clubs and Socials M Men and Gleaners Go To Canyon M Men and Gleaner Girls and their leaders of the Fifth ward got together in a merry canyon party at Mutual Dell Saturday night. A ball game was played and after supper there was a big bonfire and singing lead by Mack Cunningham. - Attending were Mr. and Mrs. E. Ray Gardner, Mr. and Mrs. Richard J. Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Birk, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Cunningham, Mr. and Mrs. Junior N. Williamson, ' Mr. and Mrs. Gareth Seastrand, Mr. and Mrs. James B. Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Durrant, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence McDaniel, Mr. and Mrs. Don Pittman, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Bell, Paul, Helen and LaRae Gardner, Shirley Chesnut, Beverly Birk, Ray Bean, Ed Willis, Lewis Winter, Arnold Larson, Richard and James Sea-strand. Feality Mrs. Velda Shumway was hostess hos-tess to Feality members Friday evening. Special guests were Mrs. John Walker and Mrs. Leo Varney. High score prize was taken by Mrs. Glen Robinson, second went to Mrs. Keith Nielsen, Niel-sen, Mrs. Walker won the guest prize, and Mrs. Ray Pinkerton took the consolation favor. Complementing Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Robertson, Superior, Ariz., who spent the week end here, brothers and sisters of Mrs. Robertson Rob-ertson had a family party in American Fork canyon Sunday afternoon. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Hunter, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Carlisle and children, chil-dren, Mrs. Lyman Moyle and children, Alpine, and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Carlisle, American Frok. Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Leavitt, Indianapolis, Ind., who have been touring the west, were guests of Mrs. Lila O. Hansen Monday and Tuesday. Reception Given Mr. & Mrs. Mousley Mr. and Mrs. Wells B. Anderson Ander-son were hosts Friday evening to a reception in the Legion hall complimenting their daughter Betty and Paul Mausley who were married in Elko, Nev., June 13. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel H. Mausley, Riverton. The bride wore white satin, entrain, with a fingertip veil and carried Dink rosebuds. Miss La Rue Mausley, sister of the groom, was maid of honor, and Lois and Doris Walker, cousins of the bride, were bridesmaids. Joan Parrv and Deann Larsen were flower girls. Dale Mousley performed best man duties for his brother. Miss Colleen Anderson, sister of the bride had charge of the eifts. Mrr.. Lawrence College presided over the refreshments and Mary Anderson assisted with serving. Dancing formed the entertain ment. Fifth Ward Outing Set For Next Wednesday A welcome respite from the heavy labors of these summer days awaits members of the Fifth ward. A summer picnic outing has been arranged and the date selected is that of next Wednesday evening, July 23th. The picnic will be held in the city baseball park where the splendid new lighting and the ample grass area make for "an ideal evening outing. The committees in charge have arranged a softball game for the young people of the ward to begin at 6 p. m. and all the youngsters of the ward are urged to be there at 6 o'clock. The moms and dads and older children are expected to get there as soon after 7 o'clock as possible. All families will bring their own picnic lunch which will be supplemented by soft drinks and watermelon provided by the ward bishopric. There will be a huge bonfire for those who de sire to roast weiners. After the supper hour various outdoor sports will be enjoyed, including badminton, volley ball, horse shoe, etc. and other entertainment en-tertainment features for young and old. All members of the ward are invited to be present. W. O. Nelson, ward entertainment entertain-ment chairman, is general chairman chair-man of the outing. Counsellor Melvin E. Dunkley is in charge of sports. The feature of the evening will be a softball game between the married men and the single men of the ward. Gareth Seastrand is lining up the benedicts and Dick and Jim Seastrand have charge of the single fellows. Craig Dorton who were married July 9th at the Lehi Fifth Ward Church Dr. Reed J. Parker Home For Short Visit Dr. and Mrs. Reed J. Parker (Anna Beth Smith) are enjoying a month's vacation. Reed has just completed his internship at Madison, Wise, and contemplates contem-plates practicing in Utah. Last week accompanied by his mother, Mrs. E. J. TIIELLA MAYNE TO BE SUMMER ERIDE Mr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Mayne are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Thella Esther and Henry Grant Street, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Street, Alpine. Al-pine. Nuptial rites will be said at the home of the bride's parents par-ents July 30, and a reception will follow in the Alpine ward recreation rec-reation hall.
