Church News Fifth Ward Sunday School The fathers of the Fifth ward are to be paid special honor Sunday morning in the opening exercises of the Sunday School. A short program has been arranged ar-ranged by the wives of the sup-erintendency, sup-erintendency, Mrs. C. A. Grant, Mrs. Elmer Bell and Mrs. Royal B. Gunnell. Mrs. Don Pittman will pay a daughter's tribute and Lewis Winter will represent the sons. A vocal duet will be rendered rend-ered by Bishop F. Rulon Nicholes and Douglas Coleman. Roses will be presented the fathers of the ward. Seventh Ward Fathers Day will be the theme of the Sunday evening service in the Seventh ward. The Relief Society has arranged a splendid program to which all members of the ward are invited and a special invitation is extended to the fathers. Second Ward Dr. Homer F. Mrs. Jennie Cunningham became be-came a greatgrandmother June 15, when a baby boy was born in. the local hospital to Mr. and Mrs. James R. Page. The mother is the former Roberta Cunningham, Cunning-ham, and grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Cunningham. Paternal grandparents and great-grandparents reside in Indianapolis, Ind. There are two great-grandmoth ers, Mrs. George Dickerson, Mid- vale, and Mrs. Ellen Kearns, Gunnison, v Larry and Edith Lassen have another boy, born at 3:45 Wed nesday morning, he weighed eight pounds 14 ounces. Grand parents are Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lassen Provo, and Mr. and Mrs Earl Carlisle. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Peterson, and sons, Jerry and Don, Albuquerque, Albu-querque, N. M., are visiting with Mrs. Peterson s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bate. 4-H Club News Pins and Needles , Faye Greenwood and Beulah Fraughton joined the Pins and Needles 4-H club at their meeting meet-ing Thursday at the home of Mrs. Elgen Lee. During the af ternoon the girls were taught how to make patches. Stylish Stitchers Another first year sewing 4-H club Stylish Stitchers, is being taught by Miss Nina Nielsen and Miss Elaine Miller. The girls meet each Saturday at 3 p. m. at the different homes. Vicki Durrant is president, Irene Raw- lings, vice president; Carma Mill er, secretary; Beverly Bateman, reporter, and Barbara Pulley, song leader. Saturday they will meet at the home of the president, presi-dent, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stewart A. Durrant. evening. Dick Tattersall is the vice chairman, and Fay Jones, secretary. Phil Christensen, Utah county Republican chairman, was in charge of the meeting, and Marie Clegg, secretary of the Young Republicans of Provo, was also present. Geo. E. Dalton To Leave For Mission 1918 - REGISTRATION AGENTS - UTAH COUNTY George Edward Dalton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Mack Dalton, has been called to fill a mission to South Africa, the place where he spent the first six and one-half one-half years of his life while his father was president of the mission. mis-sion. He is being called from the Manila ward, Timpanogos stake, where his farewell testimonial will be held Sunday evening at 7:30. He will enter the mission home Monday for ten days training. Mr. Dalton is a graduate of the Pleasant Grove high school, and has attended the Brlgham Young university. He has also been of fice secretary for his father. Travel will be no new thing for him as he has already made one trip around the world. Bring In Those Soldiers Names During the past week names of only eight boys have been handed in for what is hoped to be a 'complete and final list of American Fork servicemen. Tumbling Thimbles Tumbling Thimbles, 4-H third year sewing group, met Tuesday for the first time this season with their leader, Mrs. Amy S. Smith. With Mrs. Jane Robin son, district supervisor, directing, the club was organized with Carol Penrod, president; Earlene Schreiber, vice president, and organist; or-ganist; Barbara Spafford, secretary; secre-tary; Glenna Myers, reporter; Irene Smith, chorister.
