Rulon Nich-oles Nich-oles officiating. Only immediate members of both families were present. The bride was lovely In a pink street dress with navy accessories accesso-ries and a corsage of gardenias, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth E. Hunter, brother-in-law and sister of the ?room, attended the couple. ' Immediately following the ceremony they left for a short honeymoon. On their return ihey will be at home in the 3rant Hotel Apartments. Mr. Cook, a former navyman, is now jmployed at Geneva Steel. Wednesday evening preceding the marriage Mrs. Green and Mrs. Cook were hostesses at a shower for the bride, held in the Lehi Fifth ward amusement hall. Spring flowers decorated the rooms and Mrs. John F. Green, sister-in-law of the bride, was mistress of ceremonies. Appearing on the program were Melvin Frandsen, a violin solo; Mrs. Lloyd Briggs and Mrs. Glen M. Boley, a duet: Mrs. Bert Timpson, an original reading; Julia Ann Street, guitar number; June Green, a reading, Mrs.' Howard W. Robinson, Mrs. George Ingram and Mrs. Virgil Peterson, a trio; Mrs. Robinson, a sola; and a piano number by Mrs. Abraham Anderson. Accom panists were Mrs. Anderson and Evan Wride. Refreshments were served and the "bride received many beauti ful and useful gifts. Mr. and Mrs. John A. Green, former Lehi residents, have been living in American Fork since early March. The revue will begin at 7:30 p. m. Thirty-five women and children chil-dren will model the clothing made by those who have participated partici-pated in the sewing division of the .adult education program sponsored by the district. Models from Cedar Valley, Alpine, American Amer-ican Fork, Pleasant Grove, Vineyard, Vine-yard, and Lincoln will show the clothing made in the classes under the direction of Mrs. Mar- celle Hawkins Skinner, instructor. Some of Mrs. Skinner's students from Provo also will model in the show. Some of the models will appear more than once, having com pleted several articles of wearing wear-ing apparel. Mrs. C. A. Grant will be the narrator and a program of musical musi-cal numbers from American Fork and the BYU will add to the enjoyment en-joyment of the occasion. In addition there will be a display of handwork including crocheted articles, and rugs, the handiwork of class members. Refreshments will be served. There will be a small charge to defray expenses. have sold their home to Mr. and Mrs. Harry Belghley, American Fork, who will move In this week end. The Marshes are moving to Salt Lake City to be nearer their children. Mrs. S. Dwight Packard was hostess Sunday afternoon at a reception for Miss Vivian Greene who will soon leave for a mission. Mrs. Packard greeted her guests and in line with Miss Greene were her mother, Mrs. Marion Greene, Miss Joy Greene, Miss Miriam Young and Miss Beth Ovard. Miss Jane Packard presided pre-sided over the dining room and Mrs. Brian D. Packard poured. Entertaining during the afternoon after-noon were Miss Young, Mrs. Dean Francom, Miss Edith Pawlowski, Lloyd Hayward, Mrs. Douglas Nash and Miss Barbara Faddis. Guests included members of the Arlitra Guild, the Junior Arlitra, Psi chapter members of Beta Sigma Phi, wives of Utah Power employees, and neighbors. Clubs and Socials Literary League Mrs. George Worthen, Provo, president ! of the Timpanogos First district Federated Women's clubs, was guest speaker at the meeting of the Literary League Monday evening. She announced announc-ed the state convention to be held in May, and discussed re cent publications on the Russian situation. The meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Wendell Kirkpatrick with Mrs. Phillip W. Greene as assisting hostess. Mrs. Melvin W. Grant read the club collect, Mrs. C. A. Grant gave the thought for the day; Mrs. Doug las Nash played a violin solo, and Marcia Noyes and Anette Carter sang a duet. - Among the 30 ladies present were three special guests, Mrs. G. A. Anderson, Mrs. Dean R. Garrett and Mrs. Fred Carter. The occasion being. her birthday, birth-day, Mrs. Alex Karren was given a dinner by her family at the Alpine Grille Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. A. Will Jones, Provo, par ents of Mrs. Karren, Mr. 'Karren, and their two children, Robert and JoAnn, made up the party. Under the sponsorship of the ward bishopric members of the Gospel Doctrine classes of the Alpine ward entertained at a social in the recreation hall Fri day evening in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph F. Marsh, life long residents of the ward who are leaving to make their home in Salt Lajce City. A program, visiting visit-ing and refreshments were enjoyed enjoy-ed by 125. Mr. and Mrs. Edward W. "Burgess had charge of the program and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bateman, the refreshments. A tribute to the couple was read by Mrs. William J. Strong. Mr. and Mrs. Don Goul, Mrs. Eldred B. Farnsworth, and Mrs. J. Gordon Gor-don Brockbank, Salt Lake City, children of Mr. and Mrs. Marsh were present. Both Mr. and Mrs. Marsh have been active in Alpine Al-pine in both civic and church capacities all their lives. Mr. Marsh served for many years as a member of the bishopric. They NEW!
