Now come3 Harry Aleson, well-known well-known explorer and riverman, who is well acquainted with the Colorado, Colo-rado, and says that this spring he will attempt to "sail up the river" riv-er" against the current from Lees Ferry to Hite, a feat that looks impossible 'and never before proposed. pro-posed. Aleson claims that the trip is a natural; that powerful winds travel up the river gorge strong enough to move a light sailboat upstream. "Should the breeze occasionally occasional-ly fail, I'll do like any sailor would do wait for a favorable wind," he said. In support of his theory, Aleson pointed out that Lewis and Clark sailed up the Missouri in 1804 in canoes, and dugouts fitted with sails. Utes Await Court Decision If the Ut Indians win a suit now pending before the U. S. Su preme Court in Washington, the money recovered will be distributed distribut-ed between the White Rover and the UncomDahere Utes in east ern Utah and the- southern Utes in Colorado. Many years ago, the first mentioned tribes were moved from Colorado into Utah. The legislation involved concerns the sale by the government in 1880 of 625,000 acres of disputed Indian lands in the State of Colorado.
