Cottam and Mrs. Mary F. Smith of Provo visited with Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Banks Monday evening. Ellen and Carmen Banks, who had spent the day in Provo, returned home with them. Mrs. Aaron Allred and daughter, Maurine, spent Saturday and Sun-day Sun-day in Provo at the home of a brother, Dr. and Mrs. J. C. Jones, who returned with them to Lehi, spending Sunday evening at the Allred home. Miss Margaret Thurman returned home Saturday, reported much improved im-proved after surgical care at the Lehi Hospital. Mrs. George Ingram spent Wednesday Wed-nesday and Thursday in Springville at the home of a sister, Mrs. R. D. Frazier, who is ill with rheumatic fever. mSi ft i W Arnold Crabb and daughter Ruth, returned to Wilmington, Calif., Sat-turday Sat-turday after the funeral of Miss Eliza Crabb. While here they were I house guests of Mrs. Roy Logsdon. Other out of town relatives who at tended the funeral were Mrs. and Mrs. Albert Smith, Salt Lake City; John Cooper, Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Coffman and son Gordon, Gor-don, Salt Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Glaymires (Betty Logsdon), Kaysville. , Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Crabb were Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Crabb of Spanish Fork, and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Zabriskie of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Zimmerman accompanied Mr. and Mrs. George Lewis into Salt Lake City, Monday. Mr. Lewis, who recently suffered a dislocated shoulder, had an appointment appoint-ment with Dr. Okelberry of Tyree, Okleberry and Snow, of the Salt Lake Clinic. Examination proved that the bones are still in place, and that injury will heal without surgery, surg-ery, which had: at first been planned. plan-ned. Mr. Lewis is wearing a special brace which is expected to complete healing in six weeks time. He was injured in a fall from a fence while feeding his cattle. Permanent Waves a specialty. Seagull graduation exercises were conducted Sunday night in the First Ward Chapel.with thirteen Primary girls receiving diplomas and being accepted into M. I. A. membership. The leader of this group for the past year was Mrs. John South- wick. An interesting program was presented with every girl taking part. Feature of the evening was a play which signified the build-ine build-ine for a home and Motherhood, with eleven girls representing! the qualities to be developed. Sharon Stephenson played a violin solo, accompanied by Mrs. Harold Fox, Primary organist. Miss Lela Stewart furnished a piano selection. Prayers were offered by Dalene Peterson and Martha Browning. The entire group sang the "Homebuilders Song". On Wednesday, at 4 P. M. a prorgam was given and exhibits shown for the parents ana friends of children in all Pri mary departments. The graduation of seagull girls and guide boys of the Primary Association in the second se-cond Ward was conducted Sunday Sun-day evening in the ward chapel, with Supt. Edna Strasburg in charge of the exercises. Thirteen Thir-teen boys and girls received diplomas di-plomas and were accepted into the M I A . Leaders in charge of the groups were Ruth Dun-sdon Dun-sdon and Melba Chestnut, Speeches were given by Bishop Cecil Ash and Lynn Webb, Bishop's Bis-hop's Counselor in charge of the Primary work, and Mrs. Thayas R. Bray. Prayers were by Leo nard Udell and Bud Gurney. A piano selection was give by Carolyn Whipple, . Accordion solo; Ronald Thurston; reading, Bud Gurney; piano solo, Marl ene. Harding; two songs were sung in unison by the entire group. The articles of Faith were recited from - memory by' the boys and girls. Mr and Mrs. V. M. Stanger and Mr. Stanger's mother, Mrs. Emma Stanger, of Salt Lake City Joined Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Jackson Jack-son Friday evening and enjoyed supper in American Fork canyon. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Garten and sons, Keith and Clifford, spent Saturday afternoon and evening here, returning from Salt Lake City with Mrs. Theodore Pierson. Mr. and Mrs. Darwin R. Miner and baby son, Larry Reed, are visiting visit-ing at the home of Mrs. Miner's (Bonnie Larsen) parents, Mr. and Mrs. Linel Larsen. This is the first grandson of the Larsens. Mr. and Mrs. Junius Banks left Monday morning for Albuquerque, Albu-querque, New Mexico, where they plan to visit with their son, Earl, and family for about ten days. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Cooper of Boulder City, Nevada, spent the week end here at the home of Mr. and Mrs.f Angus Gardner. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Whipple of Las Vegas, Nevada, visited this week at the Angus Gardner home. Mr. Whipple is a brother of Mrs. Gardner. Last Thursday and Friday, Mr, and Mrs. Angus Gardner and Mr, ana Mrs. Byam Curtis spent a delightful vacation touring the district through Price and Heber, Members of the First Lehi Stake Relief Society board en joyed a dinner and social in American Fork canyon Wednes day, with the following ladies present: Mrs. Mina Webb, Mrs. Olena Goodwin, Mrs. Delia Fox, Mrs. Susie Whipple, Mrs. Lucy Whitman, Mrs. Mary Ann Clark, Mrs. Clara Webb, Mrs. Charlotte Hadfield, Mrs. Julia Hunter, Mrs. Fern Russon, and -Mrs. Jennie Patrick. The last four named were in charge of arrangements, with Mrs. Hadfield as chairman, A delicious luncheon was served, followed by gajnes. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ellis entertained at dinner Friday evening at their home in Salt Lake City for Mrs. Theodore Piefson and Mrs. Mable Pierson Ftieger. Mrs. Ftieger, formerly of Lehi,has been recently an- pointed manager of the "Mode O' Day" dress shop in Trinadad, Colorado. She left by plane for Colorado on Saturday. From LeavenWorth, Kansas came Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Hall and their son, Ray, and a granddaughter, grand-daughter, for the funeral of Mrs. Anna E. Hall, who was buried Tuesday in Pleasant Grove. They are the house euests of Mr. and Mrs. Millen Kirkham. Other rela tives who called at the Kirkham home Tuesday, were Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Strong and daughter, Connie, of Logan and Miss Beu-lah Beu-lah Strong and Mr. and Mrs. Marion L. Strong and daughters, Peggy and Janice, of Salt Lake City. Members of the Gough family held a reunion in Cayon Glen. Provo canyon Sunday.
