Friday evening the following ladies met at the home of Mrs G. R. Taylor, where the evening was spent in making a quilt for the Relief Society: Donnette Holmstead, Marvel Gray, Edna Banks, Lula Anderson, and Mary Ann Clark. Mrs. Anderson furnished furn-ished refreshments for the group. Captain G. H. Ridebaugh of the army air corps, his wife, the former Cleora Lewis, and son, Lee Howard, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, are visiting ) Mrs. Ridebaugh's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Lewis this week. Another daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Ty. D. Roberts, the former form-er Nedra' Lewis, and daughter Kaye of Iona, Idaho, are also guests at the Lewis home. . Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Raymond and Mr. and Mrs. Chell Miller and two children of Murray, and Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Wolfe of Salt Lake City spent Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Wallace He-bertson He-bertson and family. Employees of the Utah-Idaho Sugar factory enjoyed a delightful delight-ful outing at Canyon Glen In Provo canyon Friday evening. A hot supper was served, and games followed. Mrs. Hayes Asay and daughter, Anne, are visiting here from Dixon, California. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Burgess returned Sunday from a delightful delight-ful week-end at Strawberry Valley. Mrs. Mary Myers of Highland spent Thursday through Sunday visiting with Lehi friends. Misses Leona and Bessie Col-ledge Col-ledge of Ogden spent the weekend week-end in Lehi with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Colledge. Mrs. Verno Larsen and children of Clearfield visited here last week with Mr. and Mrs. Stanley M. Taylor and family. Sandra and Michel Taylor, who had been guests of the Larsens for a week, returned here with them. Mr. and Mrs. John S. Mrs. Junius Banks spent Tuesday Tues-day and Wednesday in Salt Lake City, a guest of her nieces, Mrs. Jay Brockbank and Mrs. Douglas Gardner. Mr. and Mrs. George Holin-drake Holin-drake have returned to Torrence, California, where Mr. Holindrake is stationed with . the service, after a fifteen-day furlough. While here, they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Austin. Mrs. Holindrake, the former Max-ine Max-ine Austin, is a receptionist in a hospital at Torrence. Mrs. Clell Jackson has returned return-ed home after spending the past two weeks visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs.. Hugh C. Coleman, in Midway. Her sister, Mrs. Erma Provost, of Portland, Oregon, en-route en-route home after spending two months with her parents, was a guest of the Jackson's Sunday until time to board her plane for the northwest. Dan Cupid and the war have been responsible for another marriage of interest to Lehi residents. Thursday, August 24, in San Francisco Miss Maurine Russon became the bride of Ern est George Nichols a member of the United States Coast Guard, stationed on Mare Island. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Russon of Lehi, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Nichols of Copperton. The double ring ceremony was performed by German E. Ellsworth, Ells-worth, president of the California Mission, at the home of an uncle and aunt of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Memmott, 3665 Fill more Street, in the presence of members of the connected faml lies and close friends. Attending from Lehi were Mr. and Mrs.. Russon, Mrs. Beulah Robinson, grandmother of the bride, and Miss Marie Robinson. For her wedding the bride chose a beige wool suit with a pale blue blouse and brown ac-! cessories. She wore a corsage of gardenias and rosebuds. Following the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Donald Harvey, Mr. and Mrs. Memmott, and Mrs. Charles Pickens were hosts for a wedding supper at the Harvey home, 716 Cabrello Street. A profusion of flowers decorated the home and a three tier wedding cake center ed the smartly appointed supper table. The new Mrs. Nichols is a grad uate of the Lehi high school and for the past two years has been employed at the Ordnace plant and Geneva Steel. . The groom graduated from the Bingham high school where he took a prominent part in athletics. He has been in the service for about two years. The young couple will make their home in San Francisco for the present. . - -- Miss LaPriel Goodwin returned this week from a month's visit in Milwaukee, .Wisconsin. Members of the' Fourth ward Primary enjoyed a picnic lunch and games on the church lawn Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. L. B. Brown returned home Wednesday morning, after a week's visit in San Diego, Cali fornia, with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Brown and baby. ' Miss Joyce Turner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clemn Turner, is visiting in Salt Lake City with her aunt, Mrs. Golden Gee. Mrs. Homer Trinnaman and family have moved into their new home in the Bradshaw addition. Joseph Rothe has purchased the home formerly owned by Flnvd Herrine on Third North - street. Miss Miriam Lott spent Wednesday Wed-nesday and Thursday in Lehi with her parents, Mr. and Mrs M. S. Lott. ' Mrs. Annie Young is in Provo visiting with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn LeVitre and family. Allen Bateman left Thursday for his home in Los Angeles California, having been called here due to the death of his mother, Mrs. Christena Bateman. During the afternoon pictures of the group were taken to be sent to their brother in the service, children of Riverton Mrs. Harold Degelbeck and Mrs. Edward Degelbeck attended a shower Saturday evening at the city hall in Ophir, given by Mrs. Alice Degelbeck in honor of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Vario, the former Orma Deglebeck, who recently re-cently moved from Montello, Nevada Ne-vada to Ophir to make her home. Mrs. George Wing entertained at a family dinner Sunday honoring hon-oring Milton Russon, who is leav ing for the service in the near future, and Ralph Wing, who was here on furlough from Camp Barkley, Texas.
