After vacationing at Lake Tahoe, Nevada, Miss Miriam Whipple spent the past week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Whipple. She was accompanied to the Salt Lake airport Monday morning by her mother and Mrs. Ora W Chipman, where she boarded a plane for her home in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Nicholes returned to their home Saturday after a ten-day trip to San Francisco and Vallejo, California. While in Vallejo, they visited with their daughter and son-in-law, Lt. and Mrs. Stephen Carl-quist Carl-quist and new baby boy. Lt. Carlquist is stationed at the Mare Island navy yards, and was recently re-cently advanced from Lt. (j. g.) to full lieutenant. Mrs. Carlquist is the former Iris Nicholes of this city. Mrs. E. B. Owen of Brigham City visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Kirkham, Friday until Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Denzil Kirkham of Tremonton called on Lehi rela tives Monday, while enroute south. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver L. Kit- tinger, who have been guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Broomhead ior a few davs. have left for Los Angeles, California, where they will visit their sons, David and Stuart, and their families. They expect to return to their home in Nampa, Idaho, by way of Salt Lake City the end of the month. Funeral services for Mr. Thomas were conducted Thursday at Ogden, and burial was at Spanish Fork. Attending the services from Lehi were Mr. and Mrs. Giles, Harold Giles, and Mrs. T. F. Kirkham. Miss Marna Mae Peterson is spending a week in Salt Lake City with Miss Pearl Peterson, who is convalescing after a recent re-cent goiter operation. A lovely baby daughter was born to Harold and Marie Holder Hutchings Sunday evening at the Utah Valley hospital at Provo. Mr. and Mrs. J. W.
