Mrs. Florence Jensen held a quilting at her home Wednesday, with a number of friends in attendance. Mrs. Alta Webb visited in Salt Lake City Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Grant E. Gardner, Gard-ner, Lois Gray, who were recently recent-ly married, left early this week for Detroit. Michigan, where they will make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Bone, Mrs. John Bone, Miss Delia Bone and Miss Rachel Bone spent Thurs day visiting in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Banks were in Salt Lake City on business busi-ness Thursday. Mrs. Blanche Evans spent the early part of the week visiting her daughter in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Myron Burgess was a business visitor to Provo Friday afternoon. Miss Pearl Peterson of Salt Lake City spent the week-end in Lehi, attending Lehi stake conference sessions Sunday. Misses Thelma and LaPriel Goodwin were Salt Lake City visitors Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Burgess and Wallace Banks were in Salt Lake City on business Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Vere Peterson spent last week-end in Coalville with Mrs. Peterson's parents. Mrs. Alta Webb and son, Ernest, Ern-est, were Salt Lake City visitors Saturday. . Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Young of Sprlngville visited Thursday with Mr. Young's sister, Mrs. Hethe Goodwin. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Wing had as their guest Saturday through Monday, their niece, Mrs. Clar-ene Clar-ene T. Quinn of Salt Lake City, formerly of Independence, Missouri. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Herring Tuesday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Chester Jenkins, former Baker, Oregon, neighbors of the Herrings who have recently re-cently moved to Ogden, and Mrs. Helen Wander of Ogden. Mrs. Marion Kelly, the former Betty Christofferson, of Los Angeles arrived in Lehi last week for a visit with her parents, Mr, and Mrs. A. D. Christofferson and other relatives. She came to attend the wedding of her brother, Paul, and will remain for the wedding of her sister, Erma, before returning to the coast. CLUBS AND SOCIALS A group of friends pleasantly surprised Mr. and Mrs. floyd a. Adamson at their home in Lehi Saturday evening, the occasion being Mr. Adamson's Dirtnaay. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. K. J. Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Glen L. Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Earl llolm- stead, Mr. and Mrs. A. r. uais-ford, uais-ford, Dr. and Mrs. C. T. Jones, Dr. and Mrs. Guy S. Richards of American Fork, and Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Larsen of Lehi. A hot supper was served at 8 o'clock and the balance of the evening spent in games. Mrs. Gaisford and Mr. Larsen received re-ceived the prizes. "Happy Birthday" Club Dick Bennett was the surprised surpris-ed guest of the Happy Birthday club of Alpine last Saturday evening eve-ning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Si Bennett. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Glen Terry, Mr. and Mrs. Elry Wilde, Mr. and Mrs. George Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Will Andrews, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Adams, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Beck, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Rleske, Mr. and Mrs. Adin Brown 'and Mr. and Mrs. Garnet Duns- don. Mrs. Mary Winn is entertain ing a number of family members at her home this evening, in honor of the birthday anniver sary of her daughter, Mrs. Sybil Rasmussen, of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Adams are rejoicing over the arrival of a son, born Monday morning, January 24. Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Adams of Lehi and Mr. and Mrs. L. G. West of Lindon are the proud grandparents. Old Folks Winter Outing Set For February 2nd hood A full day of entertainment has been planned for the Old Folks of Lehi, residents of sixty and past, Wednesday, February 2, under the direction of the Lehi stake Old Folks committee. The day's events will get under way at 10 a. m., when the guests will enjoy a picture show at the Royal Theatre. After the show, transportation will be furnished to take the guests to the tabernacle, taber-nacle, where a hot dinner will be served. Carter's orchestra will play during the meal, and dancing will follow. At 5 d. m. a play and musical program, under the direction of Frank W. Shaw and J. Maiben Stephenson of the high school faculty, will be furnished. , After a light supper, the guests will again enjoy dancing to Carter's orchestra. Arrangements for the entertainment enter-tainment are in charge of Robert Rob-ert Fox, chairman of the Lehi Old Folks committee. A cordial invitation is extend ed to all members of the community com-munity who are sixty years of age or older, widows, and wives of missionaries, to join in the festivities. Jones, Edwin Johnson, Alfred Roberts, and Joseph Watkins. Miss Esther Hutchings, who is training at the Salt Lake General hospital, and Lt. The groom is a graduate of the Lehi high school, and has been active in various organizations in the Lehi Fourth ward, being in charge of the boy scouts for some time. Little Shirley Swenson, a niece of the bride, was flower girl. She wore a quaint' floor-length frock of flowered dimity, and carried matching sweet peas. His completed course of study included the use, operation opera-tion and maintenance of internal combution engines. Lehi Men On Farm Bureau Officer List named County Two Lehi men were officers of the Utah Farm Bureau at the annual con vention of the group at Provo, it was announced by LeGrande Jarman, secretary. All officers were reelected for the coming year. Officers are: G. Frank Nelson, president; Sylvan Syl-van W. Clark of Lehi, vice president; presi-dent; Mr. Jarman, secretary. Directors are Ray Peay of Benjamin Benja-min Willard Holman of Manila, and Frank Shelley of American Fork. Members of the canning crops committee of the bureau reelected reelect-ed at the convention are Mr. Peay, chairman; Melvin R. At-wood At-wood of Leland, Mr. Nelson, Mr. Jarman and Hyrum R. Gray of Lehi. lindon Hall of Payson was elected to the committee replacing replac-ing Leslie Cloward of Payson, and D. W. Chatwin replaces Ross Buckwalter of American Fork. Mr. and Mrs. Helge V. The young couple were married Monday noon in the Salt Lake temple. ' A reception was held in honor of the newlyweds at- the home of the bride's parents. She was active in social affairs at the high school, and taught in the Primary organization of the Fourth ward. Pvt. Klemm served a mission for the L. D. S. church, and attended at-tended the L. D. S. business college and the University of Utah.
