Mayor and Mrs. Dean Prior, Mr. and Mrs. Roy West and Mr. Sylvester Syl-vester Evans spent Saturday in Salt Lake City on combined business and pleasure. Mr. and Mrs. Nevln Crabb spent Sunday in West Jordan visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Peterson. Mrs. Isaac Bone was a Salt Lake City visitor Friday. In honor of the birthday anniversary anni-versary of Mrs. Anthony Frkovich Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Durrant of American Fork entertained at dinner din-ner Sunday. Covers were laid for Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Goates and daughter and Mrs. Ethel Goates of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Frko-vick, Frko-vick, and Mr. and Mrs. Durrant and family. Mrs. Clifford Miller was hostess to members of the Bridgedere club at her home Thursday evening. Bridge was played and luncheon served. Prizes were won by Mrs. Vera Hutchings and Mrs. Evelyn Holmstead. Mr. and Mrs. I. L. Lott entertained enter-tained at dinner Friday evening for Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Brown of Grand Junction, Colorado, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Brown and Mrs. Julia Brown. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Brown entertained the same group at breakfast Saturday morning and Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Brown left Saturday afternoon for their home in Grand Junction. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Powell and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Fox returned home Saturday from a week's visit in California. They visited in Riverside with Mr. and Mrs. Roger Graham, at Monterey Park with Mr. and Mrs. Ben Harrison, in Los Angeles with Mr. and Mrs. William Powell, and at Southgate with Mr, and Mrs. Irvtn Henry. They vis ited all points of interest along the way and report a lovely trip. Honoring the tenth birthday an niversary of her daughter, Uvonna, Mrs. Victor Smith entertained at a gay children's party , Thursday. Games were played and refreshments refresh-ments were served to fifteen guests. Mrs. Andy Trane visited in Salt Lake City Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Morris Trane. Patricia Ann and Donna Trane spent the week-end visiting with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Okey. Covers were laid for Mr. and Mrs. Byam Curtis Cur-tis and daughter, Connie, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Gardner and son, Kenneth Ken-neth of Lehl, Miss Edna Chlpman, Miss Gwen Chlpman, Mr. and Mrs. Nears Top In Red Cross Drive Lehi Is almost "over the top" in the Red Cross war relief fund to raise $700. Many citizens and clubs have contributed but those who have hot contributed are urged to give their support and contribute contrib-ute that Lehi may go ."over the top." , Up to the present time $650 has been contributed. The following donations have been given ' this week: Athenian club, $5; Future Farmers of the Lehi high school, $4.71. They have also pledged to give more "support. : Cedar Valley is to be complimented compli-mented on their contribution. They have 42 homes and have contributed $44.75. This, is a very good record. With a quick response from members mem-bers of the community it wouldn't take long to put Lehl over. Mr. and Mrs. Don Whlmpey and Mr. and Mrs. John Whimpey left Tuesday evening for Idaho Falls, Idaho, where they will attend the funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Cook and their son, Lamar, La-mar, who were killed in an auto mobile accident Saturday night near Challls, Idaho. Mrs. Cook's mother was formerly Miss Vera Peterson of this city. Typhoid Clinic Successful The Typhoid clinic held Monday and Tuesday in the Memorial hall, under the direction of Dr. Edding-ton Edding-ton and public health nurse, Mrs. Mabel Jones, proved to be very successful. Over 600 people were innoculated. This is one-third of the population of Lehi. The American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary, spon-sorers spon-sorers of the clinic, worked very hard to help make it a success. The Home Nursing class were present and assisted. t The serum for the innoculatlons was. furnished by the state board of health. T. B. Drive Proves Successful We are indeed pleased and grateful grate-ful to the people of Lehl for their kindly attitude and loyalty in making mak-ing possible the success of our tuberculosis tu-berculosis drive.
