Vaughan of Oakland, California, visited here Tuesday with Mrs. Julia Vaughan. - Miss Connie Robinson of American Amer-ican Pork spent the week end here with her cousin, Marilyn Davis. Louie St. Jeor of Salt Lake City has been here" visiting with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. John St. Jeor, during the past few days. Mrs. Mabel Jones, public health nurse, will begin her vacation this week end. She will be away from her regular duties for two weeks. Friday Mrs. James Clark and daughters, Leath and Evelyn, were visiting In Provo with Mrs. George Muhlestlen. Mrs. Maud West and children of Oakland, California, arrived here Monday to spend a month with her 'sister, Mrs. Dean Powell and family. Miss Mary Giles and Mary Dob-meir Dob-meir of Salt Lake City, who just returned from Portland, Oregon, visited in Lehi Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Jones. ' Mr. and Mrs. James A. Powell and Mrs. Dean Powell and three children were visiting in Spanish Pork Sunday with Mrs. LaVar Carlson, Carl-son, who has been very ill. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Stephenson of Levan are rejoicing over the arrival ar-rival of twin daughters, born last Thursday at Levan. Mrs. Stephenson, Stephen-son, who was formerly Miss Maur-lne Maur-lne Powell, and the new babies are reported to toe doing nicely. Mrs. Nlcholine Powell of this city is the proud grandmother. The Stephen-sons Stephen-sons have one other child, a three-year-old daughter. Miss Ruth and BeUi Peterson, who are attending the L. D. S. business college In Salt Lake City, spent the week end here with their parents. Miss Ruth Peterson was awarded a pin for writing more than 75 words per minute with five errors in a fifteen minute typewriting type-writing contest. She wrote 86 words with only five errors. The pin was presented to her in the college col-lege assembly last Friday. Wing arrived home Thursday evening eve-ning after spending the past three weeks in Walla Walla, Washington, with their son and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Lott and children. Bone, who is employed at St. George by the Utah-Idaho Sugar Company, spent from Fri day until Monday here with his wife and family. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Thurman of Garfield spent Sunday visiting here with Mrs. Thurman's mother, Mrs. Mary Jones, and other rela tives. Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Bradshaw, Mrs. Ina Baxall and son, Richard, left Friday morning for their home in Magrath, Alberta, Canada, fol lowing a visit here with relatives. Cleo Anderson of Spanish Fork is here visiting with Joan Taylor. Mrs. Rachel Anderson Is spend ing a month in Seattle, Washington, her son, Ferris Anderson. with Mrs. J. P. Williams and son, Eugene, Eu-gene, of Huntington Park, California, Cali-fornia, and Mrs. Kingsley Smith of Glendale, California, are here visiting with Mrs. Williams' parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. David Roberts. They will be here for ten days. Mrs. Williams was formerly Miss La-Priel La-Priel Roberts of this city. The summer W P A Play School began Monday with a large number num-ber of pre-school children attending. attend-ing. Those in charge report that there is still room for a few more children. Mothers who have children, chil-dren, whom they would like to have entered in the school are asked to do so at once, as the school will be in session only six weeks. The children are having a good time and seem to be enjoying the activities planned for them very much. Miss Ada Phillips and Mrs. Fern Johnson are in charge of the school. LEHI TOURIST HOME RECEIVES RE-CEIVES NATION RECOGNITION The Lehi Tourist Home, 150 East State street, is now linked up with the National Tourist Homes Incorporated, Incor-porated, with headquarters in New Jersey. Under the management of Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Peterson the home has become very popular with the tourist trade. The management reports having entertained tourists from nearly every state In the Union as well as from Canada, Australia, Hawaii, South Africa and New Zealand. As a rule they find tourists to be a very fine class of people. Former Resident Dies In Salt Lake Mrs. Clara Edith Bone Walkv 52, wife of Jessie A. Walton, 2 Thursday at 11:45 p. m. in 8? Lake hospital, following a stroke I Mrs. Walton was bom in W Utah, March 30, 1888, a daughter? of William and Fannie Wagstaf Bone. Mrs. Mabel Jones was granted her certificate of graduation in Public Health from the Oregon State Medical Med-ical college on June 9th. Mrs. Jones returned home in March, after spending a year In Portland, attending at-tending the medical college. Mrs. W. P.
