BUT AT BOMB ANNOUNCEMENT Sunday, June 19th, is set apart as "Fathers Day" since the world was created, fathers have come, fathers have passed away, but we have fathers that are alive with us now, and It is for them that this day has been set apart, lest we forget. We have the young fathers, that yet have their lives and experiences before be-fore them. We have the older fathers and the grandfathers, and a few greatgrandfathers. These, all of them, aught to 'be remembered. Many of the fathers that have passed pass-ed away, have perhaps never had a word of appreciation given to them, while they were alive. They have toiled hard and sacrificed much. The service they have rendered should have put them in the hero class, and their names should have been on the front page. But that was not their pleasure-But pleasure-But now let us turn to our fathers fath-ers that are alive. Let us show them that they are appreciated. If they are wealthy, they may be able to smooth off some of the rough edges that may beset life, and can feel more independent. But if they are in the other class.sweating and strugeling and sometimes may feel discouraged, especially in these times of depression. If your father happens to be one of them, and you see him lag, put your hand upon his shoulder, give him a pleasant smile, a kind word, tell him how you appreciate ap-preciate his efforts. See how it will electrify him, he will take new hold on life, and will try it again. If you are away from home write him a letter, send him a card or phone him. j It will cost you very little, but the good It will do is beyond price. Re spect him in his place. Because of his help you may have had advantages advan-tages that he never had. He may appear a little out of date, a little behind lme, but don't be ashamed of him. Do not refer to him as the "Old Man" or the "Governor". Introduce In-troduce him and speak of him tenderly ten-derly and reverently as "My Father" and remember this: ' He do not ask for honor, He do not look for fame, But he deserves them both because He always plays "The Game". He meets each test of living, With a heart that is always glad, That's why he should ever be to you A pal and your dear DAD.
