Sawyer. 1 ."We are proceeding with this substantial program of Construction to provide for the expected need of tomorrow as well as to meet today's demand," Mr. Reid said. Be it ordained by the City Council Coun-cil of Lehl City, that an ordinance of Lehl City, Utah, creating the office of City Clerk, passed by the City Council of Lehl City, Utah, on the 10th day of April A. D., '1930, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 1. The Mayor, by and with the consent of the City Council, Coun-cil, shall appoint a competent and suitable person to be City Clerk, for Lehi City, Utah, who shall hold office during the life of the Council appointing him, and until his successor suc-cessor shall be duly appointed and qualified. His salary shall be fixed by the City Council at the time of his appointment. Section 2. The City Clerk shall, under the direction of the Mayor and City Council, perform the duties of bookkeeper of the various City departmtnts, alao be collector of all the revenues of Lehl City, the collection of which are not specifically provided for by law or ordinance, and he shall perform such other duties as are,' or may hereafter be, imposed upon him by ordinance, order or resolution of the City Council of said city. Section. 3." The City Clerk shall, before assuming the duties of his office take-and subscribe the con stitutional oath of office and execute exe-cute a bond with good and suffici ent sureties, in the penal sum of two thousand dollars, and to be ap proved by the Mayor payable to Lehi City, Utah, for the faithful performance of his duties as City Clerk, and the payment of all moneys received by him as such City Clerk, according to law and the ordinances of Lehi.
