Hawkins. has now completed the assessment of Utah County for 1928, and although al-though a small cut was made in the assessed valuation of real estate, yet tne assessors return shows a sub-stancial sub-stancial increase. This increase Mr. Hawkins states comes through the increase made at the Columbia SIppI Company. The Utah-Idaho Sugar company, New homes at Provo, and personal property, of the latter automobiles auto-mobiles and sheep gives the increase. inis gam in the county may be changed when the returns of tho corporate property are made by the state Board of Equalization, this Mr. Hawkins looks for. as from rpnnrta made by the mining companies upon their net proceeds the decrease of tne corporate proDertv far exceeds the increase coming from the steel company and rrtniiJM.ii,., sugar. The Alpine School District however, will not feel this loss, as all the net proceeds of the. mines goes to the Nebo School District, so that according to Mr. Hawkins assessment assess-ment returns, ,the Alpine district will be increased about $300,000 this year. more than this valuation coming from sugar which the Utah-Idaho Sugar Company had stored at the Lehi warehouse. o SOMETHING NEW EVERY WEEK AT BROADBENTS Tonight Thursday, May 3 Third Ward 8:00 P.
