Mrs. Arlev Clark entertained at a prettily arranged party Thursday in honor of her daughter Carma's fourth birthday. The Sea Gull Girls of the Third ward put on a three act play last Wednesday evening in the ward chapel to a large audience. Special musical numbers were given between acts. Members of the Third Ward Relief Society who recently put over the clever comic play "Maggie and Jiggs" are going to Alpine tonight (Thursday) (Thurs-day) where they will present the same play. Mrs. Herbert Austin entertained the Social Club Thursday afternoon at her home. The time was pleasant ly spent in playing "500". Prizes be ing won by Mrs. John Zimmerman and Mrs, J. 'O. Meiling. A dainty lunch was served to fourteen ladies, Mrs. Reed H. Gardner and son, (Misses Lois and Fern Gardner and Mr. Roy Gardner, of Salt Lake, were visiting here over the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. James H. Gardner, Miss Fern Gardner, who is attending the U. of U. received the honor of winning a scholarship in the National Fraternity. Tomlinson, of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Twenty-five ladies were present bnu enioved a program and tasty refresh ments. One of the interesting features fea-tures of the afternoon was a talk given by Mrs. Jones' on her girlhood days. Mrs. Jones is very active con sidering her age, in the fall she Dicked eight bushels of apples and put them up herself.
