Mrs. Smith was born In Lohl flfty-llvo years ago and was the daughter of the late John E. and Amanda Ross. Mrs. Smith was a woll known and popular church worker of Lehl for many years. In her girlhood girl-hood sho Borved as socrotary of tho Young Ladios Mutual Improvement Association, and was socrotary and mombor of tho Lohl ward choir at a tlmo whon John L. Glbb and Isaac Fox woro leadors. For tho past fifteen fif-teen yoars sho has boon a faithful teacher In tho Rollof Socloty, and In this capacity waa truly a ministering angol to many In their hours of need, sorrow and dlstross.
