Two James Blood Funeral Service Arranged Funeral services for Hyrum James Blood, 80, were held Wednesday Wed-nesday at 1 o'clock in the Third ward chapel with Bishop Walter B. Devey in charge. Mr. Blood died at his home Sunday at 7:45 p. m. of a heart ailment, following fol-lowing an illness of four months. The son of George and Sophia Franks Blood, he was born in American Fork May 13, 1867. He married Phoebe Singleton in American Fork March 17, 1892. She died Jan. 29, 1947. He was a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and caretaker of the American Fork cemetery for over 30 years. Surviving are a son and three daughters, Boyd James Blood, American Fork; Mrs. George (Florence) Weston, Emmett, Ida.; Mrs. William D. (Hattie) Jones, Lehi; and Mrs. J. E. , (Emily) Walker, Pleasant Grova; is grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Mrs. Robinson died April 6, of causes incident to age. Following the invocation by Lot Robinson, Mrs. Kenneth W. Morton and Kenneth L. Robinson Robin-son sang "In the Garden" and Mrs. Bert Timpson read a biographical bio-graphical sketch of the deceased. Speaking as a friend and neighbor neigh-bor of long standing Daniel H. Jorgenson said Mrs. Robinson had lead a busy' life, and had been one who helped others. He then discussed the position of women in the scheme of life and the place of mothers in the home. J. Stanley Peters told of his acquaintance and association! with her family, mentioned her busy life as the mother of nine children; discussed life hereafter and read scriptural passages of a consoling nature. Between speakers Margaret Morton played a violin solo "Perfect "Per-fect Day" and as a closing number num-ber Moral D. Steele sang "Lay My Head Beneath the Rose" Mrs. Owen G. Humphries accompanied the singers and Mrs. R. W. Clark played the prelude and postlude. The benediction was pronounc ed by Knord Beck and the dedi catory prayer at the graveside was offered by William J. Chad-wick. Chad-wick. The abundance of floral offerings were cared for by the ward "Relief Society. Pallbearers were six grandsons, Rollo, Lynn, Scott, and Paul Robinson, Rob-inson, Wendell Clift and Leonard Rockwell. and Spencer Grow, veteran realtors, real-tors, are head of the business and are being assisted by Jerry Buckley, Buck-ley, Orem, and Keith Norton, Provo. It is their plan to add a local man to the force as soon as one is available. Believing in the future of American Fork, the company has stated its. purpose is to serve the real estate needs of the community.
