Rex Leffler of Provo, a nephew of Mrs. Lott A. Russon, was one of the crew aboard the S. S. York-town York-town that was bombed and sunk last June. Rex was wounded and was in the hospital at Pearl Harbor for some time. At present he is home on a furlough. Rex is serving n the U. S. navy and will report back for duty In the near future. An outstanding social event of the week was the opening party of the Chantante chorus held Monday Mon-day evening at the home of Mrs. Owen Dorton. Hostesses were Mrs. Owen Dorton, Mrs. ' Grace Webb and Mrs. Rula Dorton. Mrs, Ada Robinson was a special guest. A hot dinner was served and the evenln? spent singing and visiting.
