Miss Arleen Goodwin then returned home, LaPriel remaining for a longer visit in Milwaukee with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Gudmundsen. She was gone ten weeks, during which time she reports having visited all points of interest in that vicinity and having a wonderful time. ; Former Lehi Resident Dies In Salt Lake John William Mitchell, 74, a former resident of Lehi, died Saturday Satur-day evening at his home, 324 Down-ington Down-ington Avenue in Salt Lake City of heart disease-Mr. disease-Mr. Mitchell was born July 20, 1861, in Salt Lake City, a son of Benjamin and Elizabeth Day Mitchell Mit-chell He had been active in church work for many years previous to his retirement because of ill health- He is survived by five sons, W. B. and Wilford Mitchell, Salt Lake City; Gilbert E. Mitchell of Lehi, Joseph L- Mitchell of Pleasant Grove, one daughter, Mrs. Birdie Smith of Lehi; two sisters, Mrs. Rhoda Morgan and Mrs. Dolly Brown, both of Salt Lake City; 32 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Impressive funeral services were held Wednesday at 1 o'clock in the Lehi Third ward chapel with Bishop I- W. Fox officiating. The opening number was a quartet selection by Misses Mavis Johnson, Rhoda Johnson, John-son, Ada Phillips and June Hansen, after which Thomas Sunderland offered of-fered the opening prayer. Mrs. Fern Johnson then sang! "Lay My Head Beneath A Rose." H- Wonfor Barnes read a biogra phical sketch of the life of the deceased. de-ceased. Speakers were Bishop An drew Fjeld, George Barnes and Mr. Hackett, a member of the Bishopric Activity Night Program To Be Presented An Activity Night Program will be presented in the high school gymnasium gym-nasium next Wednesday evening, November 20th. under t.h riliwittnn of the Physical Education classes of the high school. About two hundred and fifty girls will participate, under the direction of the instructor, Miss Vera Conder. The activities to be presented will include in-clude exercises, marching, relays, liner games, tap dancing, folk dancing, danc-ing, pyramid building, etc. All the activities -that the girls take part in daily will be presented to show the parents Just what is taking place in this department every day. The finals of the Field Ball tournament tour-nament also will be played off during dur-ing this program. Spanish Fork and Lincoln tied for the championship of Region Three, but Lincoln decided to let Spanish Fork represent this region in playing play-ing for the state championship.
