Allred, a member, of the Lehi Stake Presidency, . arrived home Monday evening from the North-Western States mission field, where he has been laboring as an L. D. S. missionary for the past three months. President Allred reports a very enjoyable mission. He labored in Portland, Oregon, all during - the three months. He states that the Portland branch of nine hundred and fifty people has recently been divided into two branches and Is progressing very rapidly. He states that they are anticipating the or ganlzation of the branch into wards and a formation of a Portland stake, instead of a branch. There are many Utah people, who are working In Portland and are now making their home there and President Allred reports that while he was there a reunion of returned missionaries was held, and there were fifty-three people who had previously fulfilled missions. Most of them have come from Utah and Idaho and there is a nucleus there for a very good stake. He states that the saints there are a fine group of people, they are a sociable class ana are gening along nicely. The Portland branch have asplen did recreation hall and a fine chapel."..-. '. President Allred states that he enjoyed en-joyed his labors very much and obtained ob-tained lots of educational and valuable val-uable experiences. He made many firends there, but reports he likes Lehi stake better and is glad to be back home. .We welcome President Allred back to our midst.
