Mrs. Blaine Swenson of Pleasant u.ove has been spending the past wee here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Davis. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Crabb and Mis. Thomas Crabb motored to Gai field Sunday and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Smith. daughter, Elaine, of Park City and Mrs. Virginia Goodwin of Sandy, visited vis-ited In Lehl Saturday evening. They came to attend the Mothers and Daughters banquet. The Primary officers and teachers teach-ers of the Fourth ward were entertained enter-tained at the home of Miss Verland Fowler Friday evening. The lesson and other Primary business was taken care of, after which' a social was enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Reynolds and son, Junior, of Provo spent Sunday in Lehl, visiting with Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Evans. . On Friday Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Johnson visited in Provo at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Reynolds. i Noel Devey, who Is attending school at the L. D. S. Business college col-lege in Salt Lake City, spent Friday night and Saturday with his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Frank Devey. Mrs. Noel Knight and daughter, Joann, of Salt Lake City visited dur ing the week-end at the home of Mrs. Knight's parents, Mr. and Mrs, Leroy Davis. They returned home on Tuesday. Helen Gill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Gill, of Salt Lake City underwent an operation for append icitis at the L. D. S. hospital, Saturday. Sat-urday. Helen is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. E. littleford of this city. Mr. and Mrs.' Morris Holmstead of American Fork spent Sunday here with Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Holm- stead. Morris has been 111 since Christmas and Is just now being able to get around. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Goodwin received re-ceived a telegram announcing the arrival of a seven-pound grandson in San Diego, California, Sunday. The parents are Mr. and Mrs. Dol-phe Dol-phe Goodwin. All concerned are doing nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Max xRothe have received re-ceived word that their son, Ernest, will labor In the South Ohio district of the Northern States mission. He has been in Chicago for the past two months and has been training there with other missionaries. He stated that they have been treated very splendidly by the Saints there. The Athenian club members were delightfully entertained at a social Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. I. VL Davis. Hostesses of the affair were Mrs. Davis, Mrs. S. L. Wells, Mrs. O. I. Klttinger and Mrs. R. J. Whipple. A St. Patrick's idea prevailed in the room and table i decorations. Orville Gunther and Horace Had-field, Had-field, recently returned missionaries, were guests of honor and gave interesting in-teresting reports of their labors In the mission field. Musical- numbers num-bers consisted of a piano solo by Miss Ruth Rothe and a vocal duet by Joseph and Fern Rothe. Reports were heard from the missionaries in the field. Delicious refreshments were served. Besides members of the association, guests included members of the Stake Presidency, members of the Fourth ward Bishop ric and neighbors and friends. McKellar is in the local hospital, receiving medical treatment CHILD HEALTH CLINIC HELD FRIDAY The regular monthly health clinic clin-ic for pre-school children of Lehl was held Friday afternoon between the hours of 1 and 3 o'clock p. m. In the Memorial building. Dr. P. R. Bowdish, county health doctor, was In charge of the examinations. Twenty-seven children were examined. exam-ined. The results showed ten normal, nor-mal, one anemic, one with scurvy, two with otitis, two underweight, one with acid condition, one para lytic in right arm, three were Im proved and one suffered bronchial trouble. Mrs. James Comer was hostess to members of the Social club at her home on Thursday of last week. Bridge was played at small tables, Mrs. Clara Larsen winning the high score prize. In honor of the occasion they have planned an entertainment, which will be held on Friday after noon, March 16, In the Second ward amusement halL Members from each ward will take part on the pro gram. Members of the stake board will present a one-act play, the First ward will present a stunt, musical numbers will be furnished by the Fifth and Second wards and readings will be given from the Third and Fourth wards.
