' School Play Ready For Presentation The annual hi&h. school play, "Mary the Third" Is now ready for production and will be presented on Friday evening:, December 18 in the High School Auditorium. Miss Beth Romney is the director and Elwood Loveridge Is acting as dramatic manager. "Mary the Third" is a modern nlav taking care of the question of modern marriage. It is a high class play and Is well portrayed by characters. It is made up of two prologues and the third act. The two prologues take up the proposal of marriage and the acceptance of the mother and granny. In the third act Mary "the Third is trying to choose between two friends. Her modern Ideas shock the mother and granny and In fact upset the whole household. Camp Williams Almost Complete Saturday morning the last shift of men will be Dut on to finiah up the road Improvement work from Camp W. a. Williams into Lehi. This road has been widened widen-ed and improved and the work has been going on for the past month. During that time over one hundred and fifty men have been given em ployment, each man given four days work and a new shift put on every four days. A total of $2,500 has been ex pended by the State Commission and the County Commission on this project. Lists of men needing em ployment were secured by the city council members from the ward bishops. The road from the "Forks" of the road into Lehi has been repaired by American Fork men, through the county and state and a like propor tion of money being expended and the same method of four day shifts being used, giving needy men employment. em-ployment. ! o Third Ward Vanguards Presents Clever Enter- tainment Tonight A spicy entertainment has been planned by the Third Ward van guards and will : be . presented to night, (Thursday) at 8 p. m. in the ward chapel. Neuterman and com pany. , A large crowd is expected to be In attendance. o First Aid Training Course Organized Saturday evening at 7:80 p. m. an immense group of boy scouts, scouters and Red Cross members met together In the Memorial building to organize the Red Cross First Aid Training course, that is to be held every Saturday night for a six week's period. The group organized into five teams for contest work. At the end of the course the losing teams will be hosts to the winning team In a peanut bust or some social of that nature. Girls are also invited to ;take the course. Many of them .have the understanding that the training is for boys and men only, but that Is not so. Some very instructive lessons win De given, wmcn are sure to be of great value to you when completed. Dr. Elma Eddington, one of Lehi's new doctors, will likely instruct the course. The Community Store House In the People's Co-op. building opened Saturday. Eight men were served after having worked three days each on the community wood pile. The committee wishes to announce to the public that they have sixty rabbits in the store house. Any one wishing rabbits may come and get them. The wood pile la grow ing and anyone who would like to purchase wood get in touch with any member of the central com mittee or the chairman. Anyone In need of wood for fuel is urged to get in touch with the chairman. Call EEOADBENT'S STORE I Car Crashes Into Wagon; No One Injured Two young men escaped Injury Friday evening about 6 o'clock p. m. when a car crashed Into a wagon, just west of town near the Richard Norman home. Glen Peterson of Cedar Valley, driving a Nash Coupe was Just entering intn invert, when he collided with a wagon driven by Leo Smith. The second round will be played tonight at 7:30 in the Lehi High School gymnasium. Cedar Fort and Fairfield wards found it inadvisable to enter the competition this year, according to Dean Prior, Stake "M" Men supervisor. The Fifth Ward Is the defending 1931 champion. . Twenty-one Examined At Health Clinic Friday afternoon twenty-one babies and pre-school age children were given an examination by Dr. P. R. Bowdish, county health physician. The examinations were conducted at the Memorial building and showed the following results: Normal 7, overweight 2, under. weight 6, bronchitis 1, nutrional condition improved 1, ear trouble 1, tonsils 1. Scouts Receive Badges At an investiture ceremony held Sunday night in the Second Ward Chapel the following boys received their initiation into the scout work along with their tenderfoot badges: Sterling Allred, R. C. Allred, J. G. Allred, Rex Wilson, Garth Abbot, Richard Mitchell, Ralph Trane and Klrkham Crabb. The lnvesture was In the form of an Indian pow-wow with Big Chief "Wahenda" in attendance and making the awards.
