Big "State Days Celebration At Fillmore July 24th The Daughters of the Utah Plo neers, In carrying out their purpose of preserving and maintaining Historic His-toric Buildings and Relics of Pioneer days, have turned their attention to the Old State House at Fillmore. This old stone building, erected In 1854, housed two sessions of the Territorial Legislature. Later, the State Capitol was permanently established estab-lished In Salt Lake City and the building was taken over by Fillmore City and used for various purposes by the people of that community. The Daughters of the Pioneers have been given charge of the building build-ing for the purpose of making a place to collect, preserve and exhibit pioneer relics. The Millard County Chapters have secured an appropriation appropria-tion of $1,000.00 from the County Commissioners of Millard County and are now busy preparing the building and exhibits. In order to promote interest In the building and have the people of Utah become v better acquainted wlth.it, they have planned a big "STATE . DAYS CELEBRATION" at FlllmoTe on July 24th and 25th. The entertainment enter-tainment will Include parades, ' programs, pro-grams, a pageant depicting Utah His. tory, and the dedication of the Old State House as a State Museum. George H.
