Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Sorenson en tertained at dinner on Tanksgiving at their Borne. A crystal basket of chrysanthemums formed a pretty centerpiece for the table. . ' The guests numbered twelve. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Bradshaw at tended the play at the Wilkes theatre in Salt Lake Saturday. Miss Emma Bradshaw who is attending school there returned home with them and remained over Sunday. Mrs. Franklin Bradshaw, and baby returned last week from Los Angeles California, where she has been visit ing for the past two months with her parents, Mr. and Mrs, Fred Jewett, Mr. and Mrs. Bradshaw have moved to Salt Lake City where they will make their home for the present. Tuesday evening following the regular Mutual Improvement work, the Third ward Gleanor Girls and "M" Men entertained the Advanced Senior class of that organization, at a delightfuf social in the ward meeting house. During the evening a spicy program, games and refreshments were enjoyed. The Red Cross drive in Lehi went over the ' top. The people in Lehi were very generous in their response when called on for membership. The committee for Lehi was: Mrs. Sarah Gaisford, chairman; Mrs. Jennie Wan- lass, Mrs. lone Gilchrist and Pansy Gaisford. When a board meeting of the Red Cross is to be held members here will be notified, so they may at tend. M rs. The Service Star Leelon ladion hplrt their regular meeting last Tuesday in the Memorial building. The ladies are sponsoring a jelly drive for the Sheridan' hospital in Wyoming and vnipp,e Barracks hospital in Arizona. Mrs. A. F. Gasford, Mrs. W. W. Dick- erson, Mrs. Jamps Potomrm iw George H. Goates and Mrs. James H. Gardner were named as a committee to soliict the town for jelly and Mrs. Sydney Gilchrist was appointed to solicit the schools for finance. Word was received from the Sheridan hos pital that 25 Utah boys were In the hospital there, and it is the desire of these ladies to send ea-ch a glass of jelly for Christmas, and also Christmas Christ-mas cards to the rest of the boys. Covers were laid for 41 guests. " o- .. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Bone arrived here Saturday from Fort Benton, 1 Montana,' for an indefinite visit -with Mrs. Bone's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Davis. Mr. Bone underwent an operation at the L. D. S. hospital in Salt Lake Monday morning for a growth in the neck. Mr William and Merrill Rolfe have been in Vernal for the past week. They went there to attend the funeral services of their brother, Mr. Samuel Rolfe, who was killed in an automobile automo-bile accident In Colorado. Mr. Rolfe wta a resident of this city eome thirty years ago.
