Nathaniel Thomas Kerr, son of Mike and Carmen Kerr of Lehi, has been called to serve in the California Santa Rosa LDS Mission. He will speak in a sacrament service Sunday, July 25, at 4:15 p.m. in the Lehi 4th Ward, 900 N. 1200 East. Elder Kerr will enter the Missionary Training Center on Aug. 4. The carts were fashioned with handles both front and back, so they could be either pushed or pulled. The wheels were built high so they had good clearance on the rough roads and could also keep their provisions dry when fording streams and rivers. They were warned by a government agent, on threat of a heavy fine, not to give or sell any ammunition, guns or weapons of any kind to the Indians.
