(Herm) 78 -- loving company of his family at the Utah Valley Medical in Center Provo on 17, 1998 as a result of multiple organ Burl was Logan Temple Nov.12, 1943. Burl was a leader of men. He served as a Captain in the Army during the I wo Jim a offense during WWII. He always shared the many stories of this time of his life with family and friends and was always very proud to have been able to serve for his country. He owned and operated Gray Floral Greenhouses in Sugarhouse for many years where he set distinctive standards in floral arrangements. There was never any doubt which flowers were from Gray Floral at any funeral in Salt Lake because of the wonderful in arrangepresentation ments... a tradition that continues even today. Burl was a member of the LDS Church and served in many church callings in the Sugarhouse area. He served as the Bishop of the Richards Ward where he took great pride in caring for the widows of that ward and any one who was in need. He also served on the in Council the High Sugarhouse Stake. (Kathie), Riverton; Mark W. of Highland and his jewel, daughter Lisa A. of (Wayne) Fraughton American Fork; three sisters Christie Haynes of Las Vegas, Nev.; Betty Hanson, of Orem; Vada Sand of Mad River, Calif; Burl leaves 14 grandchildren; Jessica, Andy, Eli, Jason, Cody, Brandon, Whitney, Rachel, Sarah, Chase, Spencer, Ryan, Melissa and Jordan. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister lone, a brother Royce, a son Michael, and his wife Amanda. The family wishes to thank all of those at the Provo Dialysis Patients Association, especially Dr. James Robinson, and Dr. Mandip Kang; to the United Way van drivers to all those at the Utah Valley Medical Center, especially Dr. Doug Ross and Dr. Bill Allward, and to his nurses Jenny and Lori. A very special thanks to all of Burl and Amanda friends and neighbors for their selflessness out pouring of love and kindness in acts and favors for the family and mom and dad. Funeral services will be Wednesday Jan. 21, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the American Fork 14th Ward, 825 E. 500 North. Friends may call at the Church one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Riverside City Cemetery, Riverside Utah. W. Leon John Rosenlof passed away Thursday, Jan. 16, 1998 in American Fork, Utah after a long illness. He Oh was born in St. Anthony, on Idaho Jan. 29, 1922 , the son of Ervin P. and Survivors include his wife, of American Lillian Fork, Schellhous of (Robbin) Colorado Springs, Colo., Janet of (Douglas) Hooper Taylorsville, Utah., Marilyn (Don) Romano of Laguna Beach, Calif., and Carol (Aaron) Chomjak of Seattle, Wash. He also has five grandsons, three granddaughters, and seven one having passed away as an infant. Leon was a Mail Carrier for 30 years in the city of Long Beach. He served faithfully in many Church leadership callings, and was respected by his friends and associates for his dedication and his strong ethics. His children were greatly influenced by his life, and they will miss him very much. Services were held in the American Fork 19th Ward Monday Jan. 19. Interment was in the American Fork Cemetery with military rites by VFW District 4. Anderson & Sons Mortuary Funeral Directors. As a motherless infant, he moved with his father and older brother to Long Beach, Calif. Here he made his home for the next 67 Rosenlof. until to moving American Fork in 1990. After serving in the Army Air Corps during WWII, he married Beverly Kooyman May 22, 1946. They were then sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on May 29, 1946. Tomlinson, Payson; Merlyn (Brenda) Tomlinson, Colorado; two daughters: Mary Alice (Hal) Thornton, Pleasant Grove and JoAnn Utley, Richfield; 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and one Merle Wilkinson Tomlinson, age 86, of Pleasant Grove died Jan. 17, 1998 from compli, of cations pneumonia. Born May 22, 1911 in , Vineyard she was the daughter of Moses Wilkinson and grate- ful for all they have done to ease some of the burdens at Mary Alice Peck Wilkinson. She grew up in Orem, Utah and graduated from Lincoln High School. She married Floyd Oscar Tomlinson Oct. 5, 1932. He preceded her in this time. Norma P. He was born Dec. 21, 1909 in W i 10 dent, hard working, responsible person, and showed his love to his family in the ability to provide for them. He was always a wonderful provider. Burl was very proud and even sentimental of the fact that he shared his birthday with his one and only daughter Lisa. Burl possessed a special love and appreciation for all of his grandchildren, he was a Grandpa beyond John Warnock and Christian Hermansen Jr. He graduated from Utah State University where he was a collegiate wrestling champion. Hermansen, "Herm," passed from this life in the Jan. - m a Hebertson. They were later divorced. He married Clarice Newman Smith, Dec. 11, 1951 in Provo, Utah. She preceded him in death Jan. 6, 1992. He was a lifetime resident of Pleasant Grove and received his education there. He served in the Pacific during World War II. He returned from the service and after several jobs worked for Pleasant Grove City and retired after several years of faithful service. In addition he owned and operated fruit orchards in Pleasant Grove. He loved animals and cared for many during his life.
