Crittenden Transportation ..Jim the friends he has made since his coaching and teaching career began as well as some of bis former students and team members. Jim F. Crittenden was born in Coalville, Utah on February 21, ins, to Clifton and Ruth Crittenden. He was the first son and second child in a family of five. He graduated from South Summit High School and Brigham Young University with a MS degree. When only in the sixth grade the coach watched him run down a hall and recognized his talent and the following year took him to the BYU Invitational. While in high school he was named to the basketball team and lettered in football and track. At BYU be played freshman basketball, excelled in footbal and was anchor man on the mile relay team that broke the Northern Division Conference Record. He then toured Europe with this team. He is married to the former Kaye Powelson of Lovell, Wyoming, and they are the parents of five daughters ; Mrs. All-Regi- Nile (Kymm) Hansen, KeQe, Cindy, Kori and Jennifer, all of Lehi. Mr. Crittenden loves horses, hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He continues to have aa interest in his father's farming and ranching operations in Oakley. "Jim Crittenden is the most dedicated and determined athlete that I have ever seen," says Rod Kimball, athletic trainer at BYU for 35 years. Students, staff and friends wish Mr. Crittenden the best of success in his new assignment. Hi School Receive Check Sugsticn Wayne M. Peck of Lehi has received $460 at Hill AFB for a suggestion for an improved method of testing for aircraft radar navigation systems. He is an electronic test equipment repairman at the Utah air base. Mr. Peck and his wife Linda - have three children. Concert Tonight The Lehi High School Music Department will present a ' concert tonight (Thursday), it ws reported by Dale H. Price, Department beginning July 1st. He began teaching and coaching at Lehi High durinig the 1K8-5- 7 school year and has been assistant principal since 1988. An assembly following the theme "This Is Your Life" will depict the life and career of Mr. Crittenden. Paying tribute to him will be members of his family, including his parents, brothers and sister, hXJ o j H.
