Aims are for the advancement of educational, economic achievements and a planned future for the city, county and state. In a general meeting, held after the district mass meetings, at the Memorial Building, Dr. Lars Jenkins was elected precinct chairman. He wlQ succeed State Representative Dean Prior for the year. Mr. Prior retired from the office after serving for the past 14 years. He still bad a year to go in this term but felt that in the interest of his own plans, he could not do Justice to the precinct office in a year that will see a complete state legislature elec ted. This will be the first time that will be effected since statehood. There will also be election of all county offices. The group voted to retain the other precinct officers: Delia Zimmerman, vice chairman; Schow, secretary, and B. J. Lott, treasurer. The group upon the motion of Harold D. Westring, former Lent mayor, voted to express to Mr. Prior the party's appreciation for his efforts. The secretary was authorized to draft a letter to that effect. Organization was effected in the following districts. District Three, with J. B. Cooper as chairman, will hold an organization at a time to be announced. Delia Zimmerman, who has served in the office of Lehi Precinct Judge during the past six years, announced that she has again filed for the position. This will be a four year term. Attorney Harvard Hlnton, congressional candidate from District one, was in attendance and spoke briefly concerning his candidacy and the advantages of electing a congressman from Utah County.
