October 12, 1935. Editor of Leh Free Prees, - Lehi, Utah. Dear Sir: J Her Newest Story Now Ap- pears Serially in Thi Newspaper I would like to voice my appreciation for your kind service in sending me the Lehi Free Press each week. It has been a sourc of Joy to me dur ing the fifteen months that I have spent in Canada. It is nearly the same as being at home and in the mission field at the same time. It pleases me greatly to be able to follow the happenings of the people and the cUy that mean so much to me. I have enjoyed, my mission, immensely, thus far, among the Canadian people. They are as a whole a good class of people with fine ideals and a high standard of living. There is very little difference between them and the people I have been accustomed to at home, except in religious opinion. They are as a group a very devout n thtlr own beliefs, and there fore the duty of the missionary is not so much that of teaching them to worship as it is that of teaching them the correct way. The first'two months of my mission was spent in the city of Windsor. It is an industrial and manufacturing center, and has a populaton of about ninety thousand. Many of the American firms have branch factories in Windsor which is just across the line from Detroit. They manufacture their products in Canada to avoid the high tariff. The next city in which I was called to labor was Chatham, a city of practically the same population as Provo. There is a branch of eighteen members organized there and the work is progressing nicely. I spent nearly a year n Chatham and enjoyed my labors very much, the last five months were spent with Elder Leo Vett Anderson. He is a sincere and missionary and is making a fine record. Our time together was very enjoyable. I was transferred next to Niagara Falls, Ontario. The city has a popu latlon of twenty thousand and nearly half of that number gain their liv ing by supplying tourists with their needs. I was surprised to learn that people were more interested in religion than the other places in which I had labored. My stay in Niagara Falls was only a month's duration and I am now laborirr in the city of Hamilton Hamilton is a little larger than Salt Lake City and has a branch of 125 members and is fully organized in - every particular, with Sunday School, M. 'I. A., Relief Society and two Primaries. , Thank you again for sending the paper and may the Lord bless you in your work. Sineerely yours, i' Wallace Banks.
