This is to be a Carnival of thrills and delight. The date, Friday . night. October 4. The evening is to begin at 6 p. m. .with a business men's lunch served cafeteria style and accompanied by music and entertainment. The carni val follows immediately afterwards with a bang. Sideshows including Hula Dancers, famous slight of hand artists, children's moving pictures and "believe it or Nor" freaks, and no end of fun. Serenaders and comedy artists will be on hand during the carnival to add to the fun. A choice program, free to all will be riven afer whih a taxi dance will be held in the Amusement Hallf An iaucton sale will be held enabling the highest bidder to take home things of value and interest. The outstanding event of the evening will be a drawing for valuable prizes including 100 pounds of flour and a ton of coal. GUNSHOT WOUND 1 InmUATlUll liltXT UIG POSTPONED A large number of shareholders of the Lehi Irrgation Co. met in a meeting, Thursday afternoon to discuss the amendment to the articles of incorporation in regards to the Deer Creek project. There were a number in favor of the amendment and a number who opposed the move. After a lot of discussion for and against the matter, the meeting was adjourned for one week, to Thursday, Ocober 3, (today) in the Memorial building when a stock vote will be taken to determine whether the new amendment is put into force or not. La Veil Hunter. 18, of American Fork, passed away at the Lehi hospital Tuesday night from a shotgun wound in the back, suffered when the weapon was accidentallyl discharged while he was on a hunting trip with James Wagstaff, 17. and his brother, Lynn Wagstaff, Jr., 13, of American Fork. A great amount of interest is being shown on the possible choice for mayor with a number of prominent men being mentioned for candidatss for all parties.
